Good kayak fishing addicts today I'm going to talk about the kayak seats.

Today there are already seats of all classes but we will qualify in two groups: low seats and high seats.

Low seats: they are the ones that most of the kayak bring, they keep the point of gravity low and it depends on the model something more uncomfortable you can even be with the wet ass.

High seats: at this moment they are putting on many kayak models, especially in the models of pedals, you go above the point of gravity (they are like sofas) they are very comfortable, and it keeps you with the (ass) dry , having the possibility of putting under the fishing material.

Well here you have my personal opinion: I fish in the north (Asturias) with quite moving waters perfect days are four, I have tried both types of seats. My kayak is the Galaxy Alborán, it has a low seat and I usually use it in a bit bad conditions, that is, with waves and winds, so it seems to me the best option, because being closer to the water you have more stability and less resistance to wind so I see it as the best option at least for troubled waters.

The high seat, under my point of view and after trying it can be better taken advantage of in calmer waters and / or for those that have more experience in the sea. I think that even in busy waters, it would be a matter of getting used to being taller and to resistance to air. Now about the aspect of comfort is amazing! You can throw away hours that you do not suffer and for that reason I say that in calm waters I see it very functional. It is also true that the kayaks that use these seats tend to be wider thus counteracting stability.

Well, here I leave my humble opinion, although not everyone will agree with me on this issue of the seats for kayaking. For more info on the differences between low and high seats, you can take a look at this Galaxy Kayaks blog by talking about it by clicking here.
