The tall seat is fashionable in fishing kayaks. If you have a Galaxy Alboran it is possible to adapt the high seat in the kayak. Today we will show you how to do it, but first, take a look at this other blog that will help you decide which seat is best for you.

The Galaxy Marlin, the Galaxy Wahoo and the Galaxy Tandem Fisher Vista are kayaks of Galaxy Kayaks that are already prepared to fit the high chair of Galaxy Kayaks. The Alboran Galaxy is not prepared by the factory for this, but we can adapt the chairs as we have already tested. There are two possibilities adapting the high seat of the Galaxy Marlin or adapting the high seat of the Galaxy Tande Fisher Vista, which is the same as the seat of the Galaxy Wahoo.

Galaxy Alborán with the high seat of the Galaxy Marlin

The Galaxy Marlin chair has two front legs that fix their position in the kayak.

It is possible to adapt it in the Galaxy Alborán using the preformed rear of the motor support to fit the back of the chair and the cleats to fix them. Then, we suggest adding front hooks to also fix the front legs of the seat.

The chair remains fairly stable and fixed, but it is not possible to use the recessed rods of the Alboran, since the chair is on top of them.

To avoid losing the rods, it is possible to use D-rings to hold the saddle by its straps (as in the photo below) and thus the seat is also placed more advanced in the kayak.

Galaxy Alborán with the high seat of the Galaxy Tandem Fisher Vista

The Galaxy Tandem Fisher Vista chair has no legs and fits into the shape of our double kayak.

As well as the first chair, it can be adapted by fitting the back of the chair to the pre-formed part of the motor support. The chair can be coupled with the cleats on the back.

Therefore, with the high seat of the Tandem Vista, the rod operators continue functional and the crane is not necessary, only the rear cleats.

The chairs, cleats, rings D you can find in our online store. We will give you all the support to adapt the high seat on your Galaxy Alborán in the best way.
