In Galaxy Kayaks we offer kayaks of different types so that they can fit in the different needs of each fisherman. But, for those who are starting in this world and are thinking about acquiring one of the small kayaks in our range, the question may arise between which item to buy.

Our range of small kayaks includes the Galaxy Cross, the Galaxy Rider and the Galaxy Blaze. On our page you can see the full description of these models, but what is the real difference between the three? In this blog we will explain quickly and concisely the biggest differences between them.

Galaxy Cross vs Galaxy Rider

The Galaxy Cruz is our best selling model. Since the beginning of the Galaxy Kayaks brand we offer this model to our customers and every year new features are designed and added to perfect our little giant.

The Galaxy Rider was a model launched in 2017, based on the old Cruz model. The Rider was created with the aim of offering our customers a small kayak with the basic qualities and an affordable price.

Therefore, the difference between the Galaxy Cruzy and the Galaxy Rider are relative to some details that make the Galaxy Cruz a more complete kayak. The Galaxy Cruz comes with a more modern interior design. It has life line on the side of the kayak and inserts to add starport bases and railblaza products without the need to drill the kayak. But the biggest difference is that the Galaxy Cruz comes with a larger central hatch and prepared as a nursery for live bait, bringing this option to the fisherman.

The Galaxy Cruz and the Galaxy Rider, have the same measurements (282cm x 82cm) go with the same shovel, 4 recessed reed and 1 central swivel and now in 2018 also have the same premium seat, however, with a little investment greater, it is possible to have a kayak better prepared for fishing: the Galaxy Cruz.

Galaxy Cruz vs Galaxy Blaze

Now that we know the little details that separate the Galaxy Cross from the Galaxy Rider, we talked a little about the differences of these models when buying the Galaxy Blaze.

The Galaxy Blaze is a slightly larger kayak than the Galaxy Cruz / Rider. It has 3.10cm x 79cm and its keel is low, keeping more surface in contact with water. This makes the Galaxy Blaze a faster kayak than the Galaxy Cruz / Rider. But, because it has a low keel, it does not cut the waves in the same way as the Galaxy Cruz / Rider.

The Galaxy Blaze is also an ideal kayak for trolling and for use in rivers and lakes due to the reasons mentioned above: speed and low keel, but also works very well in the sea, mainly in smooth conditions.
While the Galaxy Cruz / Rider has 4 recessed rods, the Galaxy Blaze has only two reed rods in the back. But the fisher version adds a central rotating cannon. As of 2018 the premium seat is also included in the Galaxy Blaze model and the paddle is also the same.
