Hi, my name is Roberto Coca known as Forniechos from the Fishing Team Galaxy Kayaks Spain and this time I will write about fishing with feathers.
I usually use the technique of fishing with feathers combined with curri. Mounting three to five feathers above the lure, with this technique I have obtained good captures as needles, saws, siards, horse mackerel and some sea bass attracted by feathers.
I personally like to make them, it's not that I'm good at it, but you try this is one of my creations the materials can be very diverse from a piece of wool to a pen found in the street and with a little patience and imaguination you can leave very nice and effective creations.
There is a montage that I like and can produce doublets. We tie our line bass with a pointed fly and another about 30 to 50 cms. I made this assembly based on the famous submachine guns for fishing with light haul or troll and I can assure you that it gives a satisfactory result, once we have hooked a pex, try to keep it in the water and it will not take long to have chopped and make more than one triplet.
Although I am more fishing, I usually use the feathers in my transfers to my fishing grounds getting from time to time a pleasant surprise of a good bite of a saw and needles. That is why it is a technique that we should always have mounted on one of our rods.
I have companions that only use this technique and the truth in a matter of sizes that they fish, always or almost always they are exemplars of a very good bearing being insistent and having patience.
Well, I hope I have clarified a bit about this technique.
A greeting from Asturias and good fishing!
